Reporting to the Team Leader, I performed as a Nielsen Market Researcher collecting data through the means of surveys and observations in any business selling soft drinks.

  • Researched the new areas I was given, almost daily, to implement a work schedule for the next day and ensured that the schedule matched to fit the opening/closing times and off peak hours of the businesses
  • Completed B2B calls and dealt with any queries or concerns expressed by businesses owners

Costcutter Store and Petrol Station, Leap, Cork (part-time)                         

This is our family-owned business and I assisted with all activities in the operation of this busy service station

  • Provided excellent customer service to all customers
  • Cash management and debit/credit card payments
  • Stocking of shop floor, dealing with orders, ensuring all products are in date and are of the best quality, barcoding and inventory

Skibbereen Arts Festival
Public Relations Executive

Reporting to the Festival Organiser, I led the PR activities for this West Cork festival which attracts international artists and visitors in the region of 5,000 annually

  • Designed Press Releases for media organisations including Newspapers, Radio Stations, TV Channels, Online News and Entertainment Websites
  • Create Social Media Content for blog posts on Twitter and Facebook
  • Managed communications with the Festival Committee and the media through phone and email

Interests and achievements
  • I conducted marketing research as part of my Research Project module for my Pre-master. The research question we dealt with was “Why do the Bachelor students of the University of Twente participate in extra-curricular activities?” Data was analysed, individually, using SPSS software.
  • During the 3rd year of my Bachelors, I performed the marketing for the students’ union. This role included social media updates, informing students face-to-face about events, and helping with event organisation.
  • I have a passion for photography, listening to and discovering new music, walking, watching television shows, keeping up to date with internet trends, reading, learning and partaking in online courses, and socialising.
